With years of experience in engineering, public service, and business, he has seen firsthand how inefficient policies, reckless spending, and a lack of accountability have held our city back. He is running for mayor because Edmonton deserves leadership that listens, takes action, and prioritizes the needs of its people.

Malik is not a career politician. He is an Edmontonian who understands the value of hard work, efficiency, and responsibility. With a background in geological engineering and a successful career spanning over 15 years in the oil and gas drilling industry and 6 years in Coal mining, he has worked on complex projects, managed resources effectively, and delivered real results. He also worked for the City of Edmonton, where he saw the impact of bureaucracy and wasteful spending on everyday citizens.
